THE
typical Chennai consumer is conservative
and prefers the classic
look. And this was precisely what Raymond Weil was hoping
to capitalise on by opening an exclusive
boutique in Express Avenue Mall
to cater to the time and style-conscious
Chennaiite. On the evening of the
launch, the euphoria at the mall was incredible,
most of it thanks to Shriya Saran
who cut the ribbon. While watch enthusiasts
tried to get a glimpse of what
Raymond Weil had to offer, others

elbowed each other to get a glimpse of the sexy star.
Typical of celebrities, Shriya arrived late but got what it took to make amends. "I have been gifted a watch. It will help me stay punctual," she said. The actress spoke about how her aunt had presented her father a Raymond Weil long ago and how she had a long-standing tie with the brand.
After the formal launch, Shriya and her mother browsed through the assorted Swiss watches. Olivier Bernhiem,
|
President and CEO of Raymond Weil, who was present at the launch, said that after seeing Shriya he was forced to change his opinion that his daughter was the most beautiful girl on Earth. He also
hc$ed that the brand would make an impact in Chennai, "Chennai has
shown that it has a market for luxury products and having anchored our
brand well in India, we hope to benefit from the highest brand-recall among the luxury watchmakers." Weil said!
